Fire Support - Afghanistan
A Royal Marines Fire Support Group operating in Afghanistan. Manned by regular and reservist heavy weapons specialists, dominating key terrain, they provide complete over-watch and immediate fire support for their comrades.
As we look toward the south-east, Forward Operating Base (FOB) Zeebrugge can be seen beyond the Helmand River, close to Kajaki Dam. The Royal Marines occupied four observation posts upon the peaks of the high ridge.
