  • 6th (Service) Battalion ‘The Buffs’ (East Kent Regiment), Battle of Loos 1915. New Army battalion raised in Canterbury.
  • 4th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment, Battle of El Alamein, 1942.
  • 4th Battalion Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regiment, Battle of Kohima, Burma, 1944.
  • 4th Battalion Queen’s Royal Surrey Regiment T.A.E.R. ‘Ever Ready’ attached to 1st Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, Aden 1965.
  • 5th Battalion Queen’s Regiment; ‘S-Type’ attachment to 1st Battalion, Operation BANNER, Northern Ireland, 1980s.
